Dairy Sector in Zambia
Zambia's dairy sector is growing, with milk supplied by commercial farms and by many smallholder farmers who deliver to milk collection centres, especially in the Southern, Central and Copperbelt provinces. Collection centres need cooling tanks and hygienic milk cans, while processors produce packaged milk, yoghurt and other fresh products. As Zambia is landlocked, imported equipment arrives through a regional sea port and then travels by road.
